The Visually Impaired Peer Support Group is a group of blind and visually impaired persons working to assist others through the many struggles associated with vision loss. The members of VIPSG are from many locations across the United States, each wanting to share with others the many ways to overcome the effects of vision loss and blindness.
Our members have a varying number of backgrounds from teachers, writers, law enforcement and many other fields.
We meet on the average of four nights a week on Zoom to discuss current affairs affecting those with vision loss, and for a healthy general round of discussion. Each Friday evening is "Movie Night" where we play movies with audio description. Saturday evenings are "Game Night" where we play trivia, wheel of fortune, name that tune and many other fun games.
We welcome everyone to our meetings and enjoy getting to know them. Our meetings begin at 8:00pm Eastern, 7:00pm Central and continue until the last person leaves, sometimes early in the morning.
Come join the fun and learn from the group how low vision can be overcome.
